At PopUpPlay we are passionate about the idea that people of ALL ages learn best through playful experiences and hands on practice. We offer play experiences for young people ranging from one day leadership events to week-long sessions, to full-on city-wide festivals. Together we’ll make bug wings, design catapults, construct wind tunnels, paint cardboard cities, make summer snow, sack race, win castle ball and compete in tug of rope. PopUpPlay Virtual Field Trips
Come with us!  We're going on a field trip. PopUpPlay is partnering with Philadelphia's coolest organizations to bring a series of virtual field trips right to your living room. Entertaining experts from the Clay Studio, The Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion, National Kids Gym, Philadelphia Dance Academy Smith Memorial Playground and PopUpPlay will lead your children in engaging activities and encourage them to learn something new. Children will log on to our private virtual meeting at the scheduled time.  PopUpPlay and partners will facilitate themed interactive activities with your child and their friends. Children will be able to talk to each other and participate in real time.

Siblings can join on one screen together 
 
Each session will have 25 possible slots. Families can buy a package for the whole series or you can register for just one event.

Philadelphia Dance Academy: The Philadelphia Dance Academy provides exceptional dance training in a professional and positive environment. The Philadelphia Dance Academy views each student as an individual and aims to ensure he or she reaches maximum potential. Digger & David Puppet Company: David Hutchman, a treasured Philadelphia performer known by generations of children and their families for his work at the Please Touch Museum, and his pal Digger the Dog perform original education-based shows at preschools, kindergartens, libraries, museums and daycares.  Along with a specific theme- such as a holiday, bullying or reading readiness- every show also promotes kindness, personal responsibility, resourcefulness and creativity with silly, gentle humor and a little bit of magic. Smith Memorial Playground: Smith Memorial Playground & Playhouse offers a free, safe place to play for children 10 and younger. The 6 ½ acre Playground includes the Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide and more than 50 pieces of unique, age-appropriate and accessible pieces of play equipment. Visit their website to learn more. 

The Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion: The Philadelphia Insectarium and Butterfly Pavilion is the most unique science museum in Greater Philadelphia.  It features a collection of live insects and a stunning butterfly habitat. Visit their website to learn more.

National Kids Gym: National Kids Gym is a mobile gymnastics program that travels on site to serve children ages 2— 9. National Kids Gym runs programs at several day cares and elementary schools in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas.
